The insurance business is largely relationship-driven, with much business done face to face.
For this reason technological 'interventions' have been regarded traditionally with a healthy dose of scepticism.
Therefore we approach projects with two objectives in mind:
- To focus on developing tools that support and enhance established ways of working.
- To provide insights and opportunities that are simply not otherwise available, that only new technologies can provide.
Focussing on underwriters
Our user research has focussed heavily on underwriters.
We spend time talking to them and watching the way they work, figuring out how we can make their lives easier, particularly during renewal seasons.
At the same time we work out how we can help them look better in front of clients.
As we develop our concepts we validate them with the people who are going to use our tools and sites.
This way we end up with systems that are as close to indispensible as possible, and which have a high chance of adoption.
