Online tools

To design effective online tools you need to understand at gut level how people do their jobs.

To do that you need to sit next to them all day - so that's what we do.

We follow this process:

  1. Look for the pros and cons of the current system or process: what works well, what doesn't, what we should not disrupt and what we should fix.
  2. Uncover the 'tacit needs' - things that users may not even be aware that they need, where day-to-day workarounds have become so routine that they don't even realise that the situation is lacking.
  3. Design tools that improve the working processes and ideally provide new, unforeseen insights, connections and possibilities.

We then work closely with users through the design process.

We return to them frequently to validate concepts and ideas, ensuring that we create genuinely valuable tools that make everyone's lives easier.
