The challenge: Brit insurance wanted to launch a game-changing portal that gathered together information, news and data in a single set of portal screens that could give underwriters a clear, real-time portfolio overview and enable them to make better underwriting decisions as well as deliver considerable efficiency improvements.
Methods: We worked closely with an in-house team of business analysts who had spent time capturing and mapping the existing processes.
We set up a working group of representative underwriters from across the business with whom we met regularly; initially to test and generate ideas and ‘blue sky’ concepts and subsequently to review and refine our conceptual and detailed wireframes for the portal.
We developed a prioritised ‘roadmap’ for the portal launch and evolution with priorities based on user need, technical complexity/feasibility and business goals.
We worked with underwriters to develop the optimal ways of delivering and visualising key information.
We worked with the Brit marketing team to develop a brand and visual identity for the portal that exemplified the recently re-vampled corporate identity
Results: We designed a portal solution that drew together tools and information to provide a clear overview for underwriters.
